Transfer Media Compatibility Guide

The information published in this Section will help you to determine
a) how compatible your Copier or Printer will be in regards to processing TheMagicTouch Specialty Media and the Transfer Printing Applications and
b) how compatible currently available Copiers and Printers are to help you make the right choice.

Today, more so than in the past, proprietary Technologies of the different Hardware Manufactures in regards to Toner Composition, Imaging Processes and Fuser Designs have made Compatibility Evaluation far more complex and results show a much smaller ‘Window of Opportunity’ compared to traditional Technology. Especially the new Toner Concepts with Fuser Oil Substitutes built into the Toner and totally new Polymer Compositions are not equally compatible. Between the different Manufacturers and their different compositions compatibility varies with the different Applications and is now also reflected in our new Compatibility Guide layout.

One of the composition changes is a new grade of yellow pigments designed to fully comply with the latest Health and Safety Standards.
Unfortunately, these yellow pigments do not hold up to warm wash as seen with traditional Polyester Toners and tend to bleed and contaminate other white areas leaving a yellow tint to it. Even so TheMagicTouch TTC and OBM Transfer Media holds up to at least Garment Industry Standard regular wash we suggest to use cold wash and/or possibly delicate cycle to avoid the bleeding.

We are trying our very best to give you a fair, independent assessment which Level of Compatibility you can expect from the individual Colour Laser Device. If you cannot find the Device you are looking for in this Guide it might not have been available for testing yet or determined to be non-compatible at all for a good reason. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information and please keep in mind: There is no good or bad, there are just different Levels of Compatibility.
