HTP 728 Heat Press Operating Guidelines

  1. Place the HTP728 on a sturdy table, no more than 0.9 metre (3 feet) high and ensure there is ample room for the top platen to swing open to the right. A dedicated power outlet at the required voltage and amperage is recommended.
  2. Attach the connecting hose for the compressor to the nipple that comes with the unit on the back of the HTP728. Maximum pressure input is 100 PSI.
  3. The pressure regulator on the HTP728 is located on the front, lower right corner of the unit. To adjust the pressure, turn the black knob, while pulling towards you. When adjustment is completed, push the black knob back to its original position.
  4. Adjust the electronic timer by pressing the Mode Button until the display shows time. Push and hold the set button and simultaneously push the up or down switches. Just release the two buttons to confirm the setting.
To adjust the temperature, press the Mode Button until the display shows temperature. Push and hold the set button and simultaneously push the up or down switches to change the temperature. Just release the two buttons to confirm the setting.
Make sure you are not in one of the pre-programmed Presets. Please refer to your processing instructions for the correct settings.
  5. To close and operate the HTP728, swing the upper arm and heating element completely to the left and over the lower platen. For operator safety, the unit is designed not to operate unless the upper arm is in the extreme left hand position and both start buttons are pressed simultaneously. These are located on the upper left and upper right corners of the unit. The STOP button is located between the two start buttons. The STOP button may be pressed at any time to deactivate the machine.
  6. The lower platen moves upward, seals the transfer to the garment, and then releases automatically at the end of the selected timing cycle.
  7. To open the platen, swing away upper arm to the extreme right hand position.
  8. To press your garment or product, follow the processing instructions located in each box of transfer paper or within the Applications Section.
  9. The HTP728 can be left switched on all day even if it is not being used for a few hours. There are no problems with the heat press overheating but remember to turn it off at the end of the day.
Maintenance
  1. To clean the heat platen surface, wipe with a soft cloth while it is still hot. Do not use any strong solvents. Liquid cleaners or white Super Scraper (included with heat press) can only be used on the platen when it is cold.
  2. Apply grease through the greasing nipples and pistons at least once a month.
